Going Good

Things are going pretty good for Cody and me. I love him so much. Got my ring back from being sized. I am taking good care of the ring. I normally don't my jewelry off when getting a shower or doing dishes. But with they engagement ring i have been. I don't anything to happen to it. It is way to beautiful for that. Cody and I will be visiting his sister-in-law, brother, and nephews in a few days. Then Monday we have an appointment at his school to talk about financial aid. He starts in July. Pretty sure he is getting excited. Cody is looking for a new job. I am liking job a lot. Been there for 7 months. Working with people in addiction is a tough job. It is hard to see someone that is doing so good, fall back into hold habits. Since I have been there two people have passed away. Both have happen just these past couple of weeks. They found one person dead in his room. My boss said that is the first time someone has dead there. He didn't die because of drugs or alcohol. It had been either a massive stroke or heart attack. That resident was such a kind, nice and had so much going for him. He was a great artist. He was only 52 years old. The other has just past recently. She was no longer a resident. She was so friendly and helpful. Working where I work you meet some really great people. I believe I am going to take some classes to learn about addiction. I don't know much about addiction but it will be nice to learn more about it.

Today Cody and I got information about getting a marriage license. That is pretty exciting. Even if we are not going to be married for 2 years. But it is good to have the information ahead of time. I starting making a list of people we want to be at the wedding as of right now. I am trying to think ahead. I just want to have a idea. Well until next time.

Much Good News

So much as happen since my last blog. The biggest news of all and the one i am so excited about is:

Cody and I are ENGAGED.

That is right. After 5 years we are finally engaged. I am so excited about it. The ring is so beautiful. It is a princess cut, .50 carts in white gold. He picked it out with no help. We got engaged Thursday, March 3, 2011. So here is the story. I have had a the thought that maybe he will get me an engagement ring with his income tax money. He said he wanted to use his for rims and tires for his car. So when i say that the money was put into our account i called him and told him. Then on Wednesday (the day before he asked me), while he was at work he asked me when my lunch was going to be on Thursday. I told him what it is normally. I asked him why he was asking and he said that he was going to be busy at work he was going to call me when i was on lunch while he was on his way to work. Then on Thursday, i left for work early because before i got to work i was getting my taxes done. I woke him up to tell him i was leaving and that I loved him and would talk to him later. When i got to work i texted him to call me at work (wanted to tell him what i was getting back). He then calls me and asked me which window was my office. I asked him what he meant. He said he was outside my work and was there to take me to lunch. I introduced him to my boss (who i truly think is a great boss). Then we went to lunch. When we got back to my work, we went in so i could get him something for his headache. I had to go to the kitchen to get my drink so he could take the meds. My co-worker went into the office, didn't realized who Cody was right a ways. When my co-work did, he said to Cody (joking), "I didn't recognized you, it is usually a different guy that takes her to lunch." The co-worker left go to eat lunch. Just then Cody got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. He said " you know that i love you and want to spend the rest of my life with you. will you marry me." I was shaking. I was so excited that I ripped my promise ring off and pushed on the engagement ring. Well the next day i had to get the ring cut off because it was way to tight and my finger was turning red. It is covered so no worries there.

So other good news. Cody and I went on a tour of an automotive training school. It went really good. So good that Cody starts schooling November 23. He would start sooner but cant because we have to wait til he is 24 years old so that he can get financial aid. He has to wait til then because then doesn't need anyone else's income but just his. He has wanted this since as long as we have been together. Glad that he is finally going for it. He will be going for 19 months. This will be considered as one year of experiences too. So that is even better.

Back to the engagement. We have a date picked. We have what the colors are going to be. I have my brides maids picked out. My three are: my sister, Kaylisha, and Ashley (Ashley is Cody's sister-in-law married to his brother Jon). So he just has to get his three guys picked out. We are starting to save up. The colors are black and pink. The year is going to be in 2013. We are excited. He said to me the other day, "Your are a bad girlfriend but you are a great fiance." He also said, "your not my girlfriend." I said, "what you mean i am not your girlfriend?" He then said, "your not my girlfriend anymore, you are my fiance." I love him to death. Couldn't asked for a better fiance. Before he proposed to me he went to talk to my dad. HE asked my dad promission to marry me before he asked me. That is so great.

Well until next blog. I will be trying to keep up with these blogs.
